Offered at SRF are all types of weaving including Hand Cane, Pressed Cane, Rush Weave (in fiber or natural materials,) Flat Reed, Binder Cane, Aluminum Lawn Chair Restoration, Light Upholstery Work On Simple Tuck And Staple Seats, And More!

Hand Cane

This is the Traditional Hand Cane weave with holes around the edges and woven by hand through the holes.

Pressed Cane

In this style, the machine cane is pressed into a groove with a strip of spline around the edge.

This weave can be done with either a fiber or a natural (PTNR) rush in the pattern shown above.

Pictured above are fiber board seats. They are very durable and a cost effective alternative to real leather seats.

Reglue Loose Or Broken Chairs

A major step is to repair any loose or broken joints in the chair and then to round all sharp edges that might cause a seat to fail prematurely. After that, the actual seat replacement can begin.

I can polish out aluminum lawn chairs and weave new material on them as well.

Aluminum Lawn Chairs

Binder cane is the same as standard hand cane, except larger. It has the shiny bark coating. Weaving styles are the same as flat reed.

Pictured above is a flat reed weave in a herringbone pattern. This material is made from the inside of the rattan plant and does not have the shiny bark.
